Still Stash Busting...................

Three afternoons work making vintage bunting for the caravan , for the inside not out in our inclement weather, I think most time was taken up deciding what to put where. There are lots of little memories in each piece of bunting, my grandmothers crochet and pieces from my aunt as well as bought pieces. Certainly a stash busting project and also an excuse to buy more when I hit the charity shops.

This wall hanging was started in 2008 and worked on occasionally since then, I finally finished it about a month ago and it's hanging with my other seascapes in the lounge.

Pin Cushions abound.......

After a few days away from home I'm itching to get back to some stitching but am just sitting in front of the pc as need that push into the sewing room and also need to catch up on what I've missed in blogland etc.
Over the winter months I seem to have had a pin cushion mania, probably as they are easy to sit and work on in an evening , the pictures here are the stitched pear pincushion that I love and two pincushions made in a vintage china teacup and  little jug.

A Struggle but I got back in!!

I think it would be quicker getting into the Royal Mint than getting back into this blog, all my sign in info seems to have changed , I've tried before but today I was determined and here I am!!! Never have been good at remembering passwords etc or even where I have saved them!!
I'm mainly sewing these days, having a break from the papercrafting - think I'm suffering from burn out after three years of intense papercrafting !
I have  photo's of work to post and the first is some bookcovers made using vintage and modern lace and embroidery.

A holiday coming up but I'll be back!!!

Long time no posts I'm afraid, that isn't to say I've been idle of course!!
As I'm back in sewing mode I thought I'd show these two pieces, I really have a fantastic collection of lace and such to use up, the first is a small wall hanging using lace both ancient and modern with some pearly embellishments, in the top left corner,  from my late aunts wedding headdress.
The second picture is a postcard I made to swap with a friend, again using all ages of lace.

Altered book cover..........

I originally bought this little book for the pages, to stamp on etc, but then as it was a good solid cover I decided to alter it and ,having removed the pages, i put a box base inside. I'm determined to use up that stash of embelishments , one down but plenty more to go!!
