Hanging around - again....

After I made the original wall hanging, with Tando jewellery parts, we decided it would make a nice 'little' workshop so I had to 'tweek' the idea to be suitable.Friday was our first evening workshop and five happy crafters (4 ladies and a gent) produced their own vintage wall hangings as well as enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine ( I stuck to coffee!!)So, sorry to be repetative but here's the pic and it really is different to the original - honest!
I have other things to show but I'm still having camera problems - or to be truthful - camera won't work!!

Unusual Oddities!!

This is something a bit different for me but I've really enjoyed doing it, I bought a Graphic 45 memory box with album and using the Olde Curiousity Shoppe papers, also from G45 I decorated it and filled it with tags that photos can be attached to and memory sticks for journalling. I took my inspiration from Clare at 'my creative spirit' , she is the UK design team member for G45 and her work is really great, she also does lots of Youtube tutorials that are worth watching.(I hope the photos are clear enough.)

more lavender and lace.............

Saturday I took a 'Christmas in July ' workshop which went down well, i'll show the cards i did later, in between prepping for that and the Andy Skinner pieces I managed to get to my sewing machine, my aim is to try and use up some of my lace collection, despite the fact that as with other crafty goodies - once it's used I won't have it any more - such a dilemma!! anyway here's a pic ( slightly blurred i think) of the vintage style lavender bag I managed to get made - hopefully more to come!

In the frame........

This is really not a good picture, I've really struggled to get it worth looking at and this is the best I got.I did enjoy the Andy Skinner online workshop and after finding this frame decided to give it the 'book of secrets' treatment and it worked well, it really looks better in reality!! - the stamped balloon image is temporary until I decide what to put in it.

Parfum Visage...................

I'm struggling to put the pic up that I planned so have resorted to this card that i just finished, It took a while to make as I was stumped with what to do with the chipboard perfume bottle at first but it gradually came together, the label on the bottle is a free stamp from the craft stamper magazine and seemed to fit just right.

The Book of Secrets.........

Well it's all finished, blackened, rusted and gilded all over the steampunk type embellishments, these were chipboard and metal, the faux pages are stamping onto masking tape and luckily it was just the correct width for the book, I love the finished result (they look better in reality than the photo)and I've started on a picture frame.

Golden Frames.........

Between working on the different stages of my 'Book of Secrets', I put together this little wall hanging using Tando chipboard pieces for the little frames which I painted with gold acrylic paint and then added crackle accent, this doesn't show up too well on the picture, the printed pictures I 'glazed' with glossy accents. The larger piece was also a printed picture and also crackle glazed before adding some collage pieces and the little frame, i think it turned out quite well even tho' I wasn't sure where I was going when I started.
The 'book of secrets' is about finished and i'll show it asap.
I'm entering this into the Tando Creative challenge - Texture

Let them.............

Last weeks atc challenge was 'cake' - now that was a tough one so outside the box I went and came up with Marie Antoinette and her well known words about the french peasants - ' let them eat cake!' - i felt good about that and here's the result.

In front of myself...........

For once all seems calm in the craft room, I've prepped my next workshop ( christmas in july) - two weeks ahead - and I can choose what I fancy to do so I'm working on a little wall hanging using Tando chipboards and I've just finished 3 atcs for this weeks shop challenge - the theme is 'countryside', two are stamped and the third is made using my needle felting machine with fabric and wool tops and a bit of machine stitching - I had it in my mind to do a poppy field and I think it's just about worked.I haven't posted last weeks atc as it is on another camera and I can't load it at the moment but plan to asap.
