Just Words today.

For the last few days we have been packing up my Mum's bungalow, an awful job which has made me very sad but unfortunately it has to be done, there is still a few days work left in there before we clear it altogether. My Mum hasn't asked about it at all and I hate to mention it to her for fear of upsetting her, perhaps we are waiting for each other to say something. I am storing all her ornaments and bits and pieces at our home as I can't bring myself to get rid of them so we are pretty full up in the garage and loft - really must get rid of all our unused and unecessary stuff - perhaps a good new years resolution - lots of trips to the charity shop and local tip. Anyway no pics to post today as i haven't felt like crafting when I get back home.

I know just how you feel Maureen, it's horrid isn't it. I found I just had to do what was required and adjust to the new circumstances as they evolved. My Mum has no short term memory now and can't even remember having lunch by mid-afternoon, but thinks that everyone she knew 40 or 50 years ago is still the same as they were then. She is staggered that I am 72 even though she seems to know that she is 100. We just have to accept what is happening and go along with it. We are very fortunate in that Mum's physical health is still good.

I know how difficult this is for you Maureen and it's obviously a depressing and emotional job... am sure you'll find comfort in your crafting real soon. xx

My, what a job, Maureen, especially when it is such an emotional thing. I hope things can settle down soon and you can kind of make peace with it all.
