First block finished

This is my first completed 'encrusted crazy patchwork block'( 6"x 6" and I'm pleased with the result. I really think that the hardest part is making the decisions of which beads and buttons to add, that can take more time than the actual stitching, altho' deciding what stitches to put on seams can take time - oh decisions decisions!! but it's fun.

This block is so beautiful Maureen and you have chosen just the right buttons and beads to enhance your lovely stitching. I love crazy patchwork and made my daughter a cream coloured heartshaped cushion to celebrate her wedding a few years ago. It was such a lovely project to work on, but you are right about choosing stitches and trimmings - that takes longer than the actual work sometimes!

Well done Maureen it is so beautiful.
The ribbon embroidery is exquisite and the button clusters are perfect.
There will be no stopping you now.

You even stitched a little spider on there, I had a look at the close up and it is just beautiful, like I've said before you are so creativly talented in so many areas :)
Crazy quilting is something on my list of "to try", I can sew, and embroider but it's the beads that put me off LOL, I would have a hard time deciding too.
