Pastel Challenge

This weeks Less is More challenge is Pastels, I decided to make text the focal point of my card, which turned to cards as I made two, and use my palest distress inks - Bundled Sage and Spun Sugar. I used a Marianne die for both, i'd had trouble cutting this with my Cuttlebug but it worked perfectly with the Grand Calibre. On the 'green' card I coloured the ribbon with the sage distress ink. Am I happy with these two cards - I don't know!!

Hi Maureen,
These are lovely, but I think I prefer the green one, I like the fact that the sentiment is gently coloured too, particularly as it is the focus of the card.
In comparison the dark print of the pink card seems a little harsh.
Those frames are really pretty!

Both cards are simple yet very elegant. They are different from your usual style, but still lovely.

Beautiful card Maureen
Love the fact you did two for us!
Very pretty
If I had to choose, I like bits of both! Whilst I like black with pastels I think if there was a hint of the baby pink in the black font it would have softened the effect But that's if I was picky! lol
Super work
Thank you

Nicely done using the Distress inks, they colour ribbon very well don't they and then you always get the perfect matching ribbon or embellishment.
Both cards are lovely but i prefer the green one as it looks soft and delicate:-)

I like very much...but then I like white cards with just a hint of colour. These are very elegant and the green is my fav too.

I like both cards. I have that Marriane D die and hadn't found a use for it as most of my image stamps are too big to fit. Using it as a frame for text is a brilliant idea!
