Tuesdays challenge.

This weeks 'Created by Hand Challenge' has a Halloween theme as we are asked to use a coffin template for our challenge piece, so here is my ATC with a 'witchy woman' within the template.

Roy's Choice!

My OH wanted me to post this photo taken in Lowestoft , it's taken looking down a Victorian passageway out to a very modern day wind turbine.

A short Post.

We are back from our short break in Suffolk, we had a lovely restful time and met Jan and Chris one day then finished off the break with a visit to the Stamp fair at Alexandra Palace in London, I spent the day with Wendy and we also met other cyber friends throughout the day. The photo is of the pier and beach at Southwold, it was a lovely day - just right for walking along the beach.

Created by Hand Challenge.

Thought I'd have a go at this one this week, the theme was Crows so out came the collage bits, rubber stamps, my favourite orange inks, gel medium and finally embossing powder, you wouldn't think you'd get all this on an ATC would you?, the challenge can be found here.

Klimt!

The theme for this weeks MAMMA swap is Klimt, I have had a Klimt rubber stamp block for some time now so here's a great reason for giving it an airing, the block has four stamps on it but only managed this one so far.An update on my Mum is that she will be staying in hospital longer than we thought as she has been (unbeknown to me)refusing assesments and also one of the heart checks.

More Halloween type pics (well nearly)

I am really proud of this years Pumpkin crop, only three but the biggest is already 10 inch across, see photo, so plenty of pumpkin soup for the winter.

A Bit Early

I got some spider web paper in an ATC swap I did and just had to use it for this early Halloween atc, its made using collage, stamping and the spooks are little diecuts.
I've just been checking out my cousin Sandi's blog and she has put up pictures of her beautiful felting, done in a totally different way to needle felting and the results are beautiful.I imagine some of the wool used was bought here in England, how she got it all home on the plane is beyond me.

Work in Progress.

Slow but(not)sure, just thinking what to do next on this piece, I can sort of see the end result but I think it's the stitching bits I'm not confident about, probably frightened of spoiling the piece but we'll see.

Faux Patchwork

Connie sent me this lovely faux patchwork fabric so I collaged it with other fabric, scrim and lace, added a gel transfer picture and pearls ,roses and a lace butterfly, it certainly got me away from the Autumn colours and all fits well together. I'm having a day out at the Crafts4crafters show at Newark tomorrow, hoping not to spend too much as Ally Pally is coming up at the end of the month - why am I going - because i can I suppose, then it'll be home to hospital visiting in the evening.

Nice Surprise!

I have been awarded a Kreativ blog award by Judy, thank you so much Judy and for the nice things you have said about my blog.
Mum is still in hospital so am just doing the odd thing in the craft room between visits etc, it's surprising how much time is taken up by what seem to be short visits. I've just made this Vintage Pansy ATC so feeling quite creative tonight.

Nice Surprise!
