This is the start of my Book of Treasures, embellishments added and next coats of paint - already I have dirty gluey marks where they shouldn't be - luckily the finished item will be dark!!

No pressure.................

No pressure at the moment as I don't have a workshop for three weeks then it's 'Christmas in July' so I'm leaisurely die cutting snowflakes and such at the moment. Yesterday I made this 'man' card using a Sheena Douglas stamp that's been calling me for a while, the backing paper I made from scrunched and distress inked copy paper and it suits the image well.
My other project just now is an online workshop with Andy Skinner making a 'Book of Secrets' steampunk style - now that's a bit different and once I have enough snowflakes i'll get on with it.

A book of bits....

The workshop saturday was using the 'Bind it All' machine and making books,Barry's book was a small Tando chipboard one and he got the ladies painting and stamping - way outside the box, I took a kit home and using papers and printed images with a few embellishments put together this little one, it has no real theme other than a definite leaning towards vintage - all for me for a change!! I just don't like doing messy very much but the ladies seemed to love it and turned out some good little books.( I'll post my workshop project next )

Just for a change......

At the last 'craft and natter' at the shop Barry told the ladies about ATCs,it took them a while to get the idea but once they did they were up for a little challenge and hopefully are beavering away at their mini cards as I type, I haven't made an atc for a good while so decided to have a go, the subject is Birds (my choice) so here are my efforts - I quite enjoyed putting them together.

Catching up....

I haven't really been on blogger this week as I've been prepping workshops all week as well as doing other things that have been ignored recently - the dreaded housework!! This morning I had computer trouble which took my friend Viv's OH a couple of hours to sort out so nothing is going to plan today. At last I can post a pic of one of the cards my workshop ladies made yesterday, the theme was Shabby Chic, the second card was the heart easel card I posted some weeks back. Now it's back to sorting out wardrobes - hate the job but has to be done occaisionally ( usually after I've put weight on!!)

Right Royal Craft Day.....

Not a lot to show at the moment so have posted this ( not very good)picture of one of the make and takes I did at the 'right royal craft day' we had at the shop on friday, it was a really busy day with us all doing make and takes and the ladies,
(and men) queueing to take part, we raised £220 for the kitchen fund of the local Baptist church, anyway this is a simple collage stamped tag using Hero Arts and Kanban stamps, In my sample I embossed Big Ben but we didn't do that on the day.I must add that my OH completely surprised me by setting up his own make and takes in the form of little, 9 square, cardstock baskets and he was kept quite busy with them, worried now in case he wants to share my craft room!!!
