A little mixed media.
A challenge on one of my flickr groups is - 'mixed media with a vintage feel, postcard size' - I have to admit mine is more fabric than anything but I have added paper and a button and there is stamping and printing so a good mix I think. My idea was to keep it sepia toned but I got out the lace and the glimmer mists and changed it to tan/pinkish.The flower is made using the free stamp from 'Craft Stamper ' magazine, stamped in Hazelnut on a cream paper then over coloured with 'old paper' distress ink to match it to the old dictionary page.

Strange Poppies.
After two weeks with no network from our server a visit from a telephone engineer solved the problem early yesterday morning so I'm fully back on line and dongle free - thank goodness!! On a walk thro' our garden on sunday we found some strange Poppies, strange in that we don't know if the birds brought the seeds or did we plant them?? (oh memory where are you these days) I hadn't seen any like these before so out came the camera which was a good thing as next day they had gone!!It ia the feathery red ones that we aren't sure about, the pink ones are definitely a gift from the birds.

Pink and Green
I spotted the Everybody-Art-Challenge had the theme of pink and green this week so I searched thro' my 'colouring in' folder and found this picture that I'd coloured with pro markers at the weekend (my craft project in the caravan) matched it up with some of Donna's papers (from Bearly Mine Designs) and here it is all ready to go ... into the challenge and into the 'Pink' charity box

Bookmark challenge.
On my 'to do ' list was to make a bookmark and Tuesday Taggers have a vintage bookmark as a theme this week so what better motivation could I have, I printed off a vintage lady and added fibres, lace and stitching on to a Timtex backing that had been heavily glimmer misted, it may have taken me longer to add the picture to this post as I can't seem to get my head around this pc operating system which is Vista ( i think).

No Network
Shouldn't have boasted about setting up my laptop onto all my techy things a couple of weeks ago, I returned home yesterday, read my 67 e mails (well deleted most of them) left the pc for a while and when I got back the network had gone down and hasn't come back since so I'm back on the dongle and not a happy bunny as have had to pay for a 30 day run, but at least I'm connected!!

A short break!!
It really doesn't seem like nearly a year since we celebrated my Aunts 90th birthday but it is and in about a week she'll be coming up to 91 and still doesn't look it, this year for her holiday we are doing a five day coach holiday in wales so I'm going to be off blog for a while, have packed a craft bag just in case!!

New Challenge.
I spotted this challenge tonight on the Ready Steady Stamp blog,it is to make a fashion related piece in green, black and white, use fabric and sequins and punches, you must use at least three of those ingredients. I used one of my new Elegant ladies stamps and paper pieced the dress from a bearly mine design backing paper, the border and flowers are made using martha stewart punches and the green fabric is a piece of silk.I used a script stamp on the oval die cut as a backing for the lady, musn't forget the green sequins in the flowers.

Saved by the laptop!!!!
I've managed (all on my own) to connect my lap top to the important techy things in my craft room and now I can use it Dongle free!! only problem is I type away and no words appear then I realise I'm pulling out and using the key board of the other computer - doh!!!! Isn't it silly how awful we feel when the computer is poorly and we're cut off as it were!
Problems
I'm having bad problems with my computer at the moment, if I manage to get it to turn on I have to be quick as it turns itself off again so won't be around too much until it's sorted, these pics are the post it note holders I've been making, the one on it's own is a sort of digital collage from a programme I have.

Plagarism !!
Or even just blatant copying, my friend Jan has been busy making notebooks and post it note holders using collage which she is so good at, as I have the same to make for the charity box I thought I'd have a go at some collage which I know is not my strong point and this post it note holder is the result - sorry Jan they are even the same colours as yours ( she does know about this as I phoned and told her).
