Scrappin' Steampunk Style
This is one of the ready set up layouts on Craft Artist, I just added the photo and tweaked one or two embellishments, when I first heard of steampunk I wasn't impressed but I'm quite fond of it now, I love this layout and there's even a 'steampunk bunny'!!

Vintage style bunting
Well bunting is certainly the in thing this year and I made these pieces after seeing some in the last Craft Stamper, I enjoyed making them and used my cricut machine to cut out the words and then realised I could cut out a lock and key, I used Tim Holtz distress embossing powder on them and they really do look and feel like rusty old metal, I didn't think I'd be using hooks and eyes and press studs anytime soon so they were added to the embelishments. I'm sorry the pictures aren't to brilliant but you get the idea.

A try at Digital Scrapping......
Although I go to a scrapbooking crop regularly, some time ago I treated myself to the Serif Craft Artist programme to try some digi work, It really is a brilliant system, so easy to work with but.... I haven't used it that much - well only once really, and that was to make a mini book for Viv. This morning while waiting for OH to return from his 'Cardio Health Check' I decided to play,I've always thought this picture of my Mum in Law was a lovely one, she was about 18 at the time, and after using it last month at the crop I had a go as a digi page and this is the result - not bad for a beginner hopefully.

Warren Rabbit....
Saturdays workshop was a fun one with pretty things for Easter, my half of it was using 'Warren rabbit' toppers, which they had to colour,( he is so cute!!!) to make a little easel card and a Easter 'lollipop'.The pictures aren't too good as I forgot to take them at home and then rushed them at the shop, the 'lollipop' one has a little easter egg on the top but I cut it off in the photo i'm afraid!!

'Upcycling'
Apparently 'upcycling' is making something nice out of the not so nice so I think I've done it by making a nice gift bag out of a plain lunch bag, I've used the Tim Holtz 'Tattered Flower Garland' die again, I really like the flowers it cuts out, and i've used distress inks on the petals to give them shading. Tomorrow brings another workshop, one I'm sharing with Barry, we're doing Easter cards etc so something to look forward to.

Flowers in distress??
Yesterday I taught two work shops, a small one , the repeat of basic stamping then in the afternoon 12 ladies colouring and using distress inks with their stamped images, they each made two cards and a book mark, i think a good time was had by all. These pics are the cards i used as a guide for them - the stamps are by PSX a company that no longer exists, I have seen these stamps on e bay at ridiculous prices.

Another year another page!
I think I started this book, in the style of KC Willis, about two or even three years ago and I really want to finish it so I stole an afternoon at my sewing machine today and managed to finish these two pages, I just looked at the pictures and at the moment it really looks like a rag book. I think I inherited the love of 'things western' from my yorkshire Grandad who was addicted to western novels, I remember when I was a kid the local library in his village closed down and he bought all the cowboy books for 6d each and he even let me read them so you could say I was brought up on Zane Grey rather than Winnie the Pooh. ( no rude comments please Viv!!)

Man Tag
I had to have another play with the alcohol inks and I used a swirly stamp and a lovely little brick effect stamp on these browny orange colours then backed it with cream card and it worked, I think the stamped lines show more on this than the first - well pleased! then I gently steampunked it into a tag.
