Home from the Dales....
Just back from a wonderful week in the beautiful Yorkshire dales - despite the fact that we took warm clothes for the inclement weather and very few summer things,( we even had the brand new Wellies this time just in case we had to face the floods again) - not a craft shop to be seen the whole week so I came home itching to start crafting again and this is the result. I had seen a framed picture ,in the may issue of craft stamper, using this idea so I adapted it for a card, I think it can be improved on but this is my prototype!

On the Shelf
Another template I was given to try out was this 'shelf' one, I chose various papers from the shop but changed my mind when I got home and used all Graphic 45 from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe collection along with some Tando creative chipboard 'bottles, these were coloured with distress stains and inks and the papers cut up to get the labels for the little bottles, I know it really didn't need flowers but I couldn't resist adding some tiny spiral ones and I think they go ok.The strange thing is that when I took this to the shop, Barry had also made the shelves using the same papers but he'd used the graphic 45 stamps to make the bottles, no flowers tho', we hadn't discussed this at all but it was 'spooky'.

Flying the flag....
Just home and ready to put my feet up after taking a fun workshop making 3 cards using one 12 x 12 sheet of patriotic paper for the backgrounds,I introduced the girls to heat embossing to decorate one of the cards and it all went well, they did a bit of stamping and used die cuts, the letters and crowns were cut on the cricut machine. The easel card is a tiny 3 x 3 card made using the left over bits of the paper, in the photo it looks as big as the 6 x 6 cards, after these cards they went on to make a gift card with Barry so we worked them hard this afternoon.

Neither Vintage or Steampunk....
Barry gave me a some Serafina stamps to work out some samples with so I had to get my cute head on - not easy - but this was the result and I'm pleased with it despite all the fiddly cutting out, it wasn't exactly plan A but better I think.I used promarkers on the flowers and main image then paperpieced Serafina's dress and apron.

Hearts and Flowers...
I was given a heart template to play around with and altho' cutting and sticking etc is a bit out of my comfort zone I managed to make this heart easel card, it was supposed to be a cute card but ended up my in my favourite vintage, sepia look. I made the flowers by cutting a small spiral with fancy edge scissors, winding them then adding stickles for a bit of bling. I realize that the red under the card gives the card a pink tinge, I was going to take another picture but - flat batteries happened so we're stuck with this.

High Flyers....
I think I'm back in the swing now, my mojo seems to be back from holiday, I made this card using the Indigo Blu Grand Tour 111 stamp plate for the balloon and sentiment, the gentlemen are from a Crafty Individuals stamp, I always seem to use the same brown shades for these vintage style cards so this time I've gone for green, too late I thought blue would be good but never mind.I can't seem to get a good picture of this card for some reason so apologies for the poor quality.
