Birthday book

I'm determined to get my moneys worth out of my cuttlebug and bind it all machines so have made a little birthday book of the photo's of the day for my aunt. (question - is moneys right or is it monies or money's - doesn't look at all right to me)

ABA challenge

This month's Art Adventure challenge is a 'Dazzle of Dragonflies' so here is a tag, inked and stamped then a rather naive dragonfly added made from metal that has been alcohol inked and put thro' a cuttlebug script embossing folder.

Mail Surprise.

I got this beautiful postcard in the mail this morning from Ati in Norway, it was as a thank you for some napkins that I sent her for her fabric paper making and was actually made using the fabric paper. I love the way she sends them stamped and in a clear envelope, I'm sure we couldn't do that here.

90 years Young!

We have just returned from celebrating my Aunt's 90th birthday in Yorkshire, altho' to be precise the area is called Cleveland, but to all of us born there it's Yorkshire!! She enjoyed her day yesterday, we took her over the moors towards Whitby and had a lovely lunch in a country pub, then to Runswick Bay where we took a slow walk down to the sea on a very steep path, she did really well and we took pity on her and her other neice's OH fetched the car down for her to go back up, we finished the day off with coffee and chocolate cake in a garden centre overlooking Whitby abbey. I've posted a couple of pics of her, one with her 90th cards - I can't believe she is that age - hope it runs in the genes!!

More stamping

Having another play with my new Elisive Images stamps, I have used pink and orange again to make this tag and it can go into the Graphicus challenge, OH had another icecream cone today so I used the circular top from the packaging again as i did in the atc a couple of days ago, used the same stamp on the circle then added the bird cage and text, a leafy swirl stamp was used on the distress ink background.

Whirlwind Visit!

Well the house is really quiet now that my cousin has gone back to London to get her flight home to Canada, I had expected her and her daughter but had a lovely surprise as her husband was with her, we last saw him 7 years ago, my first thought was help! where will they sleep? but we sorted it and all was well as Wabie(the daughter) slept on the sette. Both Sandie and Wabie loved the crafty gifts I had made for them, Wabie was very surprised to see her wedding photo's all decorated up in the tag book. We had a lovely sunny day yesterday in Lincoln and here is a not half bad photo of us both outside the cathedral.

New Stamps

I had a lovely delivery today from Graphicus of four Elusive Images bird themeplates, all really lovely, dying to have a go with them when I get the chance so I just had a play with one and made this atc, as you may gather I do love bird stamps and collage. I must mention that the circular card that I stamped on was on the top of an ice cream cone - good recycling!

Messy gesso!

The MAMMA challenge this week is to make an atc background by 'distressing' gesso with ink or vice versa? I'm not very good at messy (perhaps it's not supposed to be messy) but I managed a background and ended up with these to cards. ( oh whoops there's a flower!! )

Not a flower in sight.

What a relief, I can make something without flowers, I need to stock up on non fabric atcs for an event in august so felt the need to get away from flowers for a while and this atc is the result.

90th Birthday!

I had to really get down to making my Aunt a 90th birthday card for next week, as you can imagine she has had many different styles of card from me over the years and my mind was a blank, at christmas when I was making some birthday cards with vintage ladies on she informed me that " you needn't send me one with a lady on" - so there was an idea out of the window so back to flowers, surely I can't go wrong with that, I know that she wouldn't like the style I'd really like to make so here is her really flowery, lacy one.

Pink and Orange

Pink and orange with Exotic as the theme is this months challenge on the Graphicus blog, as I don't have a really exotic rubber stamp I thought that my Elusive Images Poppy stamp would fit the bill - if nothing else this card is really bright.

Album Finished

I have finished the 'Little book of Memories' for my cousin, I think it probable that i'll need to give her a tissue at the same time as there are photo's of my Mum and Dad in there. I used the cuttlebug on some pages and covered others with backing papers keeping the theme of orange and lime green, it's then embelished with flowers punched from metal and dictionary print.I'm almost tempted to keep it for myself!!
