Started adding the 'filling' to my pear last night - it's beginning to look almost edible, in a crazy kind of way! I'm only using three texture stitches - french knots, bullion stitch and spider stitch and adding beads between the stitches which are done in different thicknesses of thread to give texture. I did try a couple of other 'new to me stitches' but my brain wouldn't let me turn them to left handed and they just didn't turn out right - you never know they could be new stitches for a left handers stitch dictionary.

G'd morning!
That pear gets better & better - really lovely Maureen! Connie, x
That is looking SO good and the pear is a beautiful shape... how did you get it so perfect.... mine would have looked more like a banana!
I can't wait to see the finished piece Maureen -it is looking stunning.
Hello Maureen, WOW, do I love that pear. I went back and saw the beginning and the transition is soooooo very lovely. Excellent stitching. hugs Judy
PS you shopping spree at the craft show sounded like allot of fun. Hugs Judy
This gets better every time you post it Maureen. It just goes to show how marvellous a simple design can look. I think you are wise to limit the number of texture stitches - too many different ones could look confusing.
Have you tried Yvette Stanton's The Left handed Embroiderers' Companion? This is a new book. May be it would be helpful to you.
