Not a lot
Not a lot to show today as have had a lazy week end, just making the odd birthday card altho I am pleased that over the last few days I have done some housekeeping on the pc and sorted out and tidied up my picture folders. My intention is to make three fabric postcards this week.

Pyramage
I'm back to making cards for Viv's Breast cancer charity, I realise that I never asked her if she wanted help in getting a card stash together, but I enjoy making the cards and hopefully they boost her pot of cash. These newest cards are made using my Cuttlebug with Nestabilities cutting the pyramage layers out from images taken from a CD, perhaps not everyones cup of tea but hopefully someone will like them, one of the cards has stitching on and yes it was done using my little red machine.

New 'Toy'
Other than having just finished a set of four postcards I'm being rather unproductive at the moment but I do have a new 'toy', as from yesterday a mini Janome sewing machine that weighs just 5lbs, a friend had bought one and brought it to show me, they are availible on E Bay from a firm that - would you believe - is on the small industrial estate close to where we live so off I went to get one, they are on sale in a well known department store for rather more than I paid. I know I don't NEED it but it will be good for sewing paper as I'm always ruining needles in my main machine and the other thing is it will be great in the caravan, so here it is unvieled................ just have to find a place for it in the craft room - perhaps knock a wall out???
The other thing of note this week is that my Canadian Cousin Sandi is visiting CHA this week and also taking lots of workshops there - even had the nerve to post a pic of herself and Tim Holtz on her blog!!! just hope she brings loads of goodies when she comes in April.

More 'January is'

Strange!
Isn't it strange - for the last month I have been champing at the bit to get some real crafting done and have been making cards on my knee in the lounge, now I can go into my room and craft to my hearts content I seem to be lacking motivation, aren't we funny. This postcard I made for a 'January is' theme in my fabric postcard group and it has arrived in it's 'naked' state in Canada, for which I am very thankful.

Catch up time.
We safely delivered my Aunt back to her home yesterday, sorted out things for her and have come back home today to sort out and catch up. I have quite a few stitching commitments, the first that I have just finished is a heart for a valentine heart swap group, I decided this year to do a fabric one and was inspired by some christmas 'home and hearth' hearts I saw - I added some 'chunky' lace to my version.

Still in Owl Mode!
Tuesday Taggers challenge this week is 'bird on a tag' which suited me fine and I knew just what I wanted to do and am happy with the background, but that monster owl - well what can I say other than he's come down out of the big trees into the bushes and this is a rare close up sighting - my story and I'm sticking to it.

Not so Winter Wonderland
Back home from a week in a snowy Southport and a weekend digging out at my Aunts, our car was covered with a foot of snow ,in my Aunt's drive, while we were away and her village is pretty snow bound so............. we brought her back to Leicester as I can't trust her (at the age of 90) to stay in the house and not 'go down the street' as she calls her daily trips into the village, I have to say she is not very impressed with our decision but hopefully it is the safest one for her, she seems not to have any concept of there being a problem or even danger to her. No pictures today as have to get back into work mode - soon I hope.

Paper Roses
I made these roses last night, sitting watching ' A Wonderful Life' , they are stamped out ,using Artistic Stamper flower stamps, onto a good weight scrapbook paper, (not Grunge paper as is the current way to make them)they have worked well I think. Jennie the Artistic Stamper has a video tutorial on making the roses on her blog today. My new year has started in a happy way as I have won some fabulous Tim Holtz blogcandy from ,yes,'The Artistic Stamper' - unbelievable. ( I think I must add that I have no commercial or any other connection to Jennie, just a coincidince that she is mentioned a few times in this blog.)
